New Delhi: A new batch of Indian cuisine has found its way to New Zealand, with the arrival of two new craft cms and two restaurants that have been set up in Auckland.
The new Indian restaurant in Auckland has received a two-star rating from a food critic.
It is named Preeta’s Restaurant, and the new restaurant in Wellington has received an eight-star review.
The Wellington restaurant is a joint venture between the owners of Preeti’s Kitchen in Auckland and Indian chef Manish Pandey.
“We have had a great response from New Zealanders in New Zealand and abroad,” said Pandey, who is based in Wellington.

Both are located in the centre of Auckland, in the heart of the city’s shopping precinct.
Pandey said he has been looking for a location close to the city centre for years, so it was a perfect fit.

He said the restaurant will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and he is looking for space for three tables for each of the five restaurants.
“As long as there are enough people we will be able to cater for them,” he said.
Preetas Kitchen is a small family-run restaurant in Wainuiomata, which Pandey opened in the 1990s.
Pandery said the family has owned Preetias since 2002 and had three generations of the Preetis.
Pritam Pandey has worked in Auckland’s retail, food, hospitality and entertainment industries for the past 40 years.
He started his restaurant business in the 1980s, and later, when he started his own restaurant business, Preetia was one of his first clients.
“At the time, we were a very small family, and we had very little money,” he recalled.
“So we were struggling to get things going.”
Preetes Kitchen opened in 2010 in Wellington, and has since expanded to Auckland.
It also has a restaurant in Christchurch.
Pandew said Preetans Kitchen was the first restaurant in New Zealander, and one of the first in the world.
“Preetas is an international family business.
It’s an amazing, wonderful restaurant,” he added.
“They have over 10,000 members.
It was the dream of every single family.”
New Zealand’s first Indian restaurant opened in 1998, and it has since opened in more than 50 countries, including the United States, India, Bangladesh, India and Australia.
Pande said his restaurant in Australia was also a big hit with people from across the world, and now they were coming back to New Zeland to try his restaurant.
He said there were many more restaurants opening around the country, and that he had a feeling New Zealand would get a lot more Indian food.
“This is the first time that the New Zealand people are coming back, and hopefully we can grow this to many more,” he noted.
“For sure, we have a lot to celebrate.”
The restaurant has been nominated for awards by a range of organisations, including New Zealand Food Awards and the New York Times Food List.
It won the New Zealans Choice Award for the best Indian restaurant award in New York in 2018.
It said the Indian food was “a blend of Indian comfort food, the classic Indian dishes, and some new twists and new flavours”.
“With a large and diverse clientele, Pritams Restaurant is an easy spot for customers to enjoy Indian cuisine, while still maintaining the traditional taste of New Zealand,” it said.
New Zealand is one of five countries where the cuisine of India has been adopted as the national cuisine.
Other New Zealand countries that adopted the cuisine include Hong Kong, India’s commercial capital, and Japan, which has an indigenous culture.
“A lot of this is based on the fact that the food is more than just meat and potatoes.
It comes from a lot different places, from the soil, from where the fish came from, from different animals,” Pandey explained.
“India has a rich tradition of food.
It used to be a place where people would take a boat, go to the ocean and cook the food.
Now they have moved away to a new place and they cook it on the boats
